About Julia
At the heart of every Julia Hakim design, you will discover an experience born out of a love for art and architecture. An experience that connects with the unique wishes of each client providing a space that is both stunning and enjoyable. Julia Hakim offers a full service interior design experience. Whether designing for commercial properties, multi-family apartments, residential properties, office spaces or staging homes, Julia’s passion for design and understanding of functional space shines forth in every arena. When asked what keeps her going, Julia says, “That moment when my client connects with their space both aesthetically and emotionally. That’s the moment I live for.”
Julia graduated UCLA with a master’s degree in Interior Architecture and Design, but it was her studies at USC in Real Estate and Development that lead her to an award winning class feasibility study and, ultimately, discovery of her passion for interior design. Her experience includes working with designers such as Karry Joyce and Associates, furnishing dress to sell homes for Carlyle Design and interning with a hospitality design firm. Julia has traveled extensively through Western and Eastern Europe including cities such as Rome, Vienna, Côte d’Azur, London, Prague, Paris, the Amalfi Coast, Moscow and Saint Petersburg—cities that continue to provide a wealth of inspiration in her design. She also draws inspiration from designers Louis Sullivan and Frank Lloyd Wright.
Julia supports various non-profit organizations including American Friends of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and the Maccabi World Union. She is happily married to her husband and enjoys spending time with her son. She also enjoys riding her horse and participating in equestrian shows.
